Christmas Carol Project Team
Walk for ALS 2011
On
Saturday, June 11th, 2011 cast and friends of The Christmas Carol
Project participated in the Walk for ALS and raised $4,495, an increase
over our goal of $4000. Last year, we were very happy to have raised
over $3500.oo for this cause.
You can help us raise funds to provide care, support and equipment
for those living with ALS in Alberta and for research in Canada. ALS
(or "Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a progressive and ultimately fatal
neuromuscular disease.
We are showing our support for our friend Colin Lay, who has been
the invaluable front-of-house and live recording sound engineer for our
annual Christmas Carol Project concert for 14 years. Colin has
also provided impeccable live sound and studio engineering for
countless musicians in Alberta and beyond. Colin was diagnosed
with ALS in early 2010.
In solidarity with Colin and other people living with ALS, we will be continuing to
participate in this great event and hope you will too. Anything that you might be able to give would be greatly
appreciated and honoured. More info below or click

(preferably before Jun 9, if you are mailing within Edmonton); please
include your name & address so that they can mail you a tax receipt

Our friend Colin has told us how excellent the ALS Society of Alberta has been in giving him immediate and practical support.
